The CSLP theme this year is “Dinosaurs” so wanted to try a challenge involving that. I have a bunch of toy dinosaurs from other programs, so for me there was no extra prep at all, I just had an extra bucket next to my normal bucket of minifigs.
So after going over rules, we talked about different dinosaur scenes we could do. I threw out a different ideas for kids to try out. They could do a “Godzilla” scene where their dinosaur was destroying buildings. They could do a “Jurassic Park” scene with a dinosaur in a zoo or breaking out of a cage. They could do a “Flintstones” scene with a dinosaur in a home helping out (I did have one kid that said “What’s Flintstones?” haha.) Or they could just do a scene with dinosaurs doing whatever of course–no wrong answers.

This one was great for all ages–my older kiddos built more elaborate things and my younger ones just had fun filling up their plate with dinos and Legos. It’s the kind of challenge that kids can make harder if they want to do something more specific and technical, or just have fun with, so everyone wins.

Super simple! Plan on doing this one again over summer.
