Laugh Out Loud Stories–“Crunch The Shy Dinosaur” Scavenger Hunt

Interactive picture books are AMAZING to read during a story time, since they get everyone up and moving and just make the whole experience unforgettable.  In fact I compiled a list of my favorite ones that you can find here.  “Crunch The Shy Dinosaur” by Cirocco Dunlap with artwork by Greg Pizzoli is another great addition to any storytime lineup.  As I’ve mentioned, we often do some sort of activity after storytime, so after reading “Crunch” we’ll be going on a scavenger hunt in the library!

Crunch Scavenger Hunt

Really simple to set up, and my kiddos had a lot of fun trying to find them all.  And you can get kind of creative where you hide them, like I hid this one in a big mural we have in our children’s department.  Numbers 1-10 are included, plus I added a bonus blank page where you can write in extra numbers. You can download a copy of them for FREE right here.

Special thanks to artist Greg Pizzoli for giving permission to distribute this resource to teachers and librarians.  Permission was given by artist Greg Pizzoli via email on 9/20/2021, with condition that the author and artist are credited in some way.
