I wanted to do a “Lego Look-and-Find” recently, like the Look-and-Finds from “Highlights” magazine. A little bit like my Lego Scavenger Hunt from a long time ago. But somewhere along the way I came up with this idea instead. Lego Camouflage! It’s a little bit like the Dinosaur Challenge, where we incorporate other toys into the build to make something a little different!

So after going over rules, we talked a bit about camouflage and what it’s used for and who uses it. Animals use it of course but so do soldiers. So the challenge was to pull an animal from the box, and make something to disguise it. It could be an actual habitat where the animal could live, or you could just color match as best as you could, like this lizard. So a little bit like my Lego Zoo Challenge. I always have kids that like to make battle scenes of course no matter what the challenge is, SO they could use camouflage in that way as well!

This one went pretty well. I feel most kiddos did a version of the challenge. I did have a few kiddos that completely covered their animal, so maybe explain the difference between hiding and completely hidden. Adding some of my favorite builds. This one turned out really well because there’s just a Lego guy hidden in the walls, which I did not anticipate:

This one is a dinosaur hiding in a volcano, so playing with color but also size:

And this last one is soldiers fighting, but there’s lizard hiding in the leaves and there’s a soldier hiding up in the lookout:

Hope you like this one!
